Yes! Our intention from very begining was to create an app that we will be proud of and that will actually be benefitial to us as well. We love to stay up to date with latest trends and news, so why put the price on it when you can Google it anyway?
Yes! Instead of building highly sofisticated systems to encrypt all your data and keep it safe we simply decided not to collect any of your data at all. All account data is stored directly on your device and we do not have access to it.
We are trying our best to optimise the processes of our app in order to spend the least amount of energy. That means scheduling the processes when the energy storages are high in the market or not using the AI to summarise your 4 minute read articles.
Hiwe it's definetely not the new MySpace or Tumblr when we talk about personalisation. But, let's say that you will be able to create your own feed and see the articles the way you want.
Hiwe doesn't have any investors yet, and we will never accept investors who don't share the same idea as we do. At the moment Hiwe is fully funded by the internal team.
As long as we will be able to maintain the app we will do it. All of us in the team are deeply in love with tech and it is something that makes us happy. If we ever decide not to continue developing features or even maintaining the app we will give it back to the community.
